BCP expands into the Middle East

Based in Manama, Juffair in the prosperous Kingdom of Bahrain, Foodlink Bahrain is a recently established foodservice company servicing Bahrain’s 5* hotels and high end restaurants with foods imported from across the globe, including the UK, US, Japan and Australia. As part of its rapid expansion plans the company is moving into a new, purpose-built depot where it will be upgrading from the current paper-based systems to BCP’s specialist Accord® Foodservice solution to support its future growth.

Key to securing the contract was the comprehensive functionality available withinAccord®, together with BCP’s knowledge and experience of the market sector. As Mark Huggins, Operations Director at Foodlink Bahrain, explains: “I was aware of Accord’s® reputation as a market leader in the foodservice sector and BCP’s track record of delivering successful implementations from my time working in the UK foodservice industry.”

The investment covers BCP’s complete Accord® solution, including Purchasing, Sales Order Management, Stock Control, Multicurrency and Financial Accounting and will give Foodlink Bahrain a fully integrated system covering all aspects of its business. Implementation timescales are yet to be finalised, but will be planned to coincide with the opening of the company’s new depot.

Mark Huggins: “Accord® is a sophisticated system which will scale up easily as the company grows and provide an excellent fit for our enlarged operation in the years to come. We’re keen to go live as soon as possible so we can start to take advantage of its outstanding functionality.”
